I am a small animal veterinarian with over 30 years experience in my field. I entered the profession, as many do, because of a love for animals.
But I have discovered over the years that it is a deep respect for people and their love for animals that drives me to do what I do every day.
It is my mission to keep the bond between man (or woman) and beast as tight as it can be - to preserve the gift of unconditional love that animals bestow upon us.
Early in my career I discovered that my niche was behavior medicine. Preventing and treating behavior issues allows me to help pet owners repair and strengthen the bond that they have with their pets. Preserved bonds between owners and their pets means fewer animals relinquished to shelters or euthanized.
In 2009 I left private practice to start a veterinary behavior business and have found this move to be immensely full-filling.
In my spare time, I enjoy photography, biking, hiking, boating and spending quality time with my husband, two daughters, two cats, two dogs, and a rabbit.
